ABB: Traction Converter / Propulsion Systems Sales Engineer

You as a Traction Converters Sales Engineer will be primarily responsible for the following tasks;
-Sales and Marketing of the ABB traction converters range and related equipment to the rail industry in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa.
-Adopting hands on approach towards establishing and building excellent relationships with clients. Understand the client’s thinking and requirements so as to be aligned with their needs.
-Continuous Market analysis to ensure thorough knowledge and preparation of annual Marketing and Business plans.
-Liaising with colleagues in South Africa and the BU in order to be able to sell effectively the traction converters.
-Identifying and following potential projects from the early pursuit stage until project execution begins.
-Using forecasting and budgeting tools to capture all business prospects.
-Regular traveling to various customer sites in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa.
