Job Description:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Manage the portfolio of IT systems and applications to ensure that changes and improvements are maintained and meet the requirements of the business unit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

? Define and maintain a comprehensive view of the IT systems landscape for business unit.
? Manage and lead a team of Systems Custodians and Test Managers as required to enhance and maintain the IT systems.
? Liaise with the business unit?s leadership to analyse the upcoming projects related to IT requirements and manage the implementation of all new requirements.
? Establish and maintain a relationship with all IT system vendors, including Absa Group IT.
? Ensure that Service Level Agreements are in place and maintained for all IT systems required by the business unit.
? Provide inputs into the budgeting process in terms of IT demands.
? Manage all small enhancements to existing IT systems.
? Provide regular health status reports to business and other stakeholders on the status of the business unit?s IT systems.
? Provide IT system inputs to projects and initiatives as required.
? Keep abreast of industry trends and Absa Group processes and governance regarding systems and advise business accordingly.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

? Minimum Matric or NQF Equivalent is essential
? At least a 3 year Degree (Information Sciences) or Diploma in IT or relevant NQF Level 6 qualification
? Extensive Knowledge of the IT Lifecycle Principals and methodology
? Extensive knowledge of the Business Requirements documentation process.
? Extensive knowledge of the Business Systems Specifications Documents process
? 5 years experience in managing IT systems from a business point of view
? No Criminal Record

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

? 10 years experience in managing IT systems
? 5 years Testing experience
? 3 years Business Analyst experience
? Good understanding of Project Management disciplines
? Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status
