Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
To ensure that the consolidated sales demand (all channels) of lead market SA is procured and available for allocation on time in and in full, in accordance with business & SCM metrics. Implement and administer buy plan and purchase practices and controls aligned to adidas, global planning and BU guidelines and within the scope of lead market SA mandates. Maintain focus on continuous improvement initiatives as it pertains to broader Supply Chain Outputs, planning and purchasing best practices. To manage cost of sales impacts relative to Purchase Order amendments, i.e. Transport Mode, Cancellations requests, Special Customer Request, Minimum Order Impacts etc.
Day-to-day management of the Purchasing team
Execute scheduled monthly buy plan process/s including scheduled mid-month process/s, where applicable
Timeous hand over of buy plans to purchasing team to allow for Purchase Order Requisition process within global parameters.
Optimizing Order book conversion, as a result of accurate timeous Purchasing decisions and controls
Effective Constraint management (i.e. balancing PO lead times, cut-off behavior, global planning and factory variability, MOQs)
Implement standardized business reporting including Purchase Order Tracking, Exception Management and Key Performance Metrics.
Implement, manage or support key SCM initiatives with respect to special or customized purchasing controls. i.e. Drop Shipment process controls, Unique Labelling or handling requests
Manage lead SA market impacts due to BU (business Unit) and global Planning directives
Fulfill SAP Key User Role within SCM
To manage, review and report on Gross Demand (buy plan) and Net Actual Demand (procured) in volume and value relative to seasonal Back Log requirements
Implement a Proactive Exception Management reporting, processes and controls including reporting to manage delays, risk and Cannot Supply, Cannot Plan eventualities.
Deliver on SCM Key Performance Metrics, ensuring world class on time product availability and order fulfillment (OTA, OTIF)
Contribute and drive key strategic initiatives i.e. never out of stock and replenishment programs while optimizing inventory positions with effective lead time and procurement processes
Ensure high employee engagement through effective motivation, coaching training and development of key personnel in the team to provide a framework for succession
Upon request, participation or leading project/s within AEM or the global Supply Chain organization.

University degree or relevant supply chain management education
In depth knowledge of supply chain, understanding the mechanics of the flow of goods from sourcing to customer
3-4 years of experience, people / team management, and proven track record in demand planning and purchasing management.
Relevant fashion, footwear and apparel manufacturing experience
Process driven thinking
Change management, strong motivation and strong analytical skills
Operations as wells as commercial mindset
Experience in project management
Strong leadership in combination with team approach
Ability to accept and meet critical strong planning and organization skills
effective communication skills
Advanced Skills and experience in ERP systems (SAP)
Advanced users in Microsoft applications, primarily excel.
