POST 10/23 : ADMINISTRATION OFFICER: LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES SERVICES REF
NO: 14/70/DG

SALARY : R170 799 – R201 195 per annum. The successful candidate will be required to
sign a performance agreement

CENTRE : National Office: Pretoria
REQUIREMENTS : A Bachelor Degree in Library Science and Information Management or National
Diploma in Archives Studies/Record Manager; 2 year experience in an Archive
environment; Knowledge of National Archives and Records services Act
Knowledge of promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA); Skills and
Competencies: Computer literacy (Ms Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel);
Communication skills (written and verbal); Interpersonal skills; Customer service
orientation; Conflict management; Team work problem solving skills; Acceptance
of responsibility.

 

DUTIES : Key Performance Areas: Render archives services to internal and external
clients; Manage appraisal of archival materials; Implement records retention and
disposal; Ensure maintaining of filling system; Perform any administrative
function as requested.
