Minimum educational qualification:

Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KRA’S) of the post.



Appropriate experience.


Competencies (knowledge/skills):

High level of computer literacy.
Knowledge and experience in an electronic patient registration and billing system.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Knowledge of PFMA, Hospital Memorandum Chapter No. 18 and treasury directives.
High level of excellence and accurate in work.


Duties (key result areas/outputs):

Handle and maintain a sound patient record keeping and billing system.
Register of all patients according to prescripts on the Delta 9/Clinicom Systems.
Archive and dispose all patient records according to prescripts.
Maintain a good and accurate filing system of all patient records.
Render a support service to the Case Manager and Billing Clerk.
Capture and keep record of all patient data and clinical notes for statistical purposes on Delta 9/Clinicom.
Provide effective support to supervisor and colleagues and effective utilisation of resources.
Note: Short-listed candidates will be subjected to a competency test.
