ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: STRATEGIC STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT REF NO: DOT/HRM/10/39

SALARY : R183 438 per annum

REQUIREMENTS : A three (3) years National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Political Studies, Public Management, Project Management , Transport Economics and Management. A minimum of one to three (1-3) years of working experience in public / private or Non-governmental sector. Note:

The following will serve as strong recommendations: Stakeholder management skills; Policy development and analytical skills; Understanding of the working environment of public sector; Experience in working in large and medium sized projects; Experience and ability to work with people and in a team environment;

Excellent communication skills; (written and verbal); Understanding of socio-political and economic environment of South Africa; Excellent report writing and presentation skills; Willingness to work under pressure and irregular hours. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Internet and Email).

 

DUTIES : The Successful candidate will: Provide administration support to the Directorate regarding work with the Parliament Portfolio Committee on Transport and other Parliament Committees;

Provide support in Director General interaction with the media on Parliament matters; Provide support in the coordination of directorate engagement with Director General Stakeholder; Identify mechanism and opportunities for partnership and collaboration with public, private and non-governmental sectors; Provide administration support to the Directorate;

Compile reports, documents and presentations; Develop and publish policy papers; Provide support to the Directorate in Director General statutory committees such as DGCEO Forum, Council of Transport Officials (COTO) and other relevant Forums.
