Agfa: Software Application Technician

Job Responsibilities

– install or assist with installations of newspaper and commercial workflow systems and take care of the post-sales support and services

– analyse, make diagnoses and solve problems regarding workflow systems

– provide 1st line support for the service organizations & the service field engineers in the region

– manage open incidents and take ownership of escalations and follow them up

– responsible for the reporting and documentation of the issues in service management systems and with local customer care department

– application training for the sales, service, product specialists, and customers

– provide technical and post-sales information to the service organizations

– contribute to the graphical applications know-how and synergy across the AGFA GS organization

– are a member of the after-hours remote support centre

– support shows and exhibitions

– conduct customer workflow demonstrations in our demo centre

– customer visits in order to provide technical sales support

– develop customized solutions / applications, install them and support them

– assist and support software R&D teams

– first line support & dealer support depending on the region

You will be working in the Software Competence Centre team, reporting to the Software Competence Centre Manager [located in Mortsel, Belgium]

Job Profile

Education – Bachelors degree or diploma in software engineering

Experience – have a thorough knowledge of OS, Networking, Client-server applications, & Internet technology.
