Key Performance Outputs:

  • Responsible for the finding of root cause of identified incidents (or finding of root cause)
  • Develop Configuration Management plans that are aligned to SACM Charter.
  • Conduct Configuration Identification which includes categorisation of configuration structures and configuration items.
  • Manage configuration control by ensuring that authorised configuration items (CIs) are recorded.
  • Manage the Configuration Management Database(CMDB)
  • Audit and verify the physical existence of CIs against the CMDB and controlled libraries.
  • Ensure that the Incident Management process is managed as per agreed SLA’s
  • Develop monthly reports on Problem and Configuration status.
  • Ensure compliance to IT security standards and best practice

 
Technical Skills And Experience:
A relevant IT or tertiary qualification.
ITIL foundation and/or Managers/Practitioners certification
5-7 years’ experience within an ITIL framework
Knowledge of the adoption of Problem Management process with the IT environment.
Expert knowledge in root cause analysis and data collection
Expert knowledge of network system/infrastructure management and process methodologies and practices

 
Competencies:
The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Perseverance is critical in this demanding role and the candidate must have excellent planning skills and must know how to manage and measure work effectively.
