Requirements

  • Unemployed graduates,
  • Between ages of 18 and 35
  • Residing within its jurisdiction to apply for the municipality’s one (1) year internship programme.
  • Submit brief CV
  • Certified copies of tertiary qualifications and identity document
  • Proof of residence and application letter.

 

Key Performance Areas

Use of the workplace as an active learning environment for new entrants into the labor market; affording new entrants into the labor market essential work experience. The district municipality intends to provide internship in the study fields listed hereunder:

  • Item department/unit
  • Minimum Qualification (s)
  • Office of the Municipal Manager
  • ND: Public Management 12 Positions
  • Corporate Services
  • ND: Information Technology/ System 23 Positions
  • Infrastructure development & Municipal Services
  • ND: Civil Engineering 5 Positions

 

Successful candidates may be placed at any of the offices of the district municipality mentioned above. Acceptance into the programme does not guarantee permanent appointment of the learner into the structure of the municipality nor being registered in our database guarantees acceptance into the programme.
