The purpose of the Corporate Communication team is to support the Anglo American strategy through the consistent communication of our brand to help create engaged stakeholders and motivated employees to influence our global reputation positively.

To improve the effectiveness, consistency and alignment of our internal change communication activity, we are moving to a business partner model. A pool of professional resources will service the change and communication needs of each of the Functions allowing us to take a more coordinated approach to how we work with the business units, streamlining campaigns, activities and request that come for Group functions.

The purpose of the role is to implement the communication deliverables that connect employees to the functional strategy and priorities creating engaged employees who are motivated to contribute to the function’s success.

 

Key Accountabilities

Supports delivery of specific functional projects requiring change communications support (Advisory authority).
Manages production of communication collateral (audio, print, electronic, face-to-face) targeting functional community (Advisory authority).
Manages and delivers the Eureka! strategy and plan ensuring the functional space and all content is up-to-date; writing and publishing new content; facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration (Advisory authority).
Provides support and guidance to Functional community and leadership team on potential of Eureka! in delivering specific Functional objectives (Advisory and monitoring authority).
Manages distribution lists and database contacts to support communication to functional community (Advisory authority).
Supports the Applaud recognition process for the Function (Advisory authority).
Develops an annual calendar of Functional communication ‘events’.
Ensure that the corporate communications standards are deployed (Advisory authority).

 

Required Abilities

Educated to degree level or equivalent
Postgraduate qualification an advantage
Proven experience in an internal communication role within a large, multinational organization
Experience of communications and change activities projects
Experience in measurement and research techniques
Experience of managing social intranets – driving adoption
Management of range of communication channels – print, digital
