ARM (Nkomati Mine) Vacancy for HR Officer

Nkomati Mine, a joint venture between African Rainbow Minerals and Norilsk Nickel Africa is an Open Pit and Underground Base Metal and Chrome operation. The Mine is currently exploiting a disseminated nickel, copper and platinum group metal deposit associated with a satellite intrusion of the Bushveld Igneous Complex.

 

Minimum Requirements…

THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ARE ESSENTIAL:
§  Grade 12/Standard 10
HR Diploma or Certificate  NQF 4
§  Computer Literacy
§  2 to 3 Years relevant HR Experience
§  Certificate of Fitness
§   Valid driver’s license          

THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS OR OPTIONAL:
§  National Diploma

 

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED ARE AS FOLLOWS:

Job Specification…

ALTHOUGH NOT LIMITED TO, THE INCUMBENT WILL REPORT TO THE HOD: HUMAN RESOURCES AND THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

§  Facilitate changes related to HR processes and procedures

§  Ensure compliance to processes and procedures

§  Maintain departmental Manning and HR information Notice Boards

§  Monitor and report on actual overtime

§  Facilitate counseling sessions

§  Attend departmental Safety and “Toolbox” meetings

§  Attend departmental Union meetings and provide feedback

§  Conduct Trends and analysis on absenteeism and leave history

§  Ensure HR Legal Compliance and awareness within area of responsibility

§  Provide an ER advisory support service amongst area of responsibility

§  Interface with Employee Departmental Union Representative

§  Provide input on development and revision of Systems Procedures

§  Compile contractor statistics and ensure HR compliance§  Conduct Contractor Audits.

§  Maintain contractor information on HRIS in area of responsibility

§  Compile contractor statistics and ensure HR compliance

§  Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually for submission

§  Enhance safety awareness throughout working area

§  Ensure working area and equipment is clean and safe at all times and in good working condition

§  Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures
