SPECIFIC OUTCOMES/ACCOUNTABILITY:

IT Planning Organising & managing Accountability:

Responsible for planning and execution of activities for the Group Application & Integration area with direction from the Group IT Application and Integration manager.
This involves participating in activities & evaluations of business & integration
applications under the direction of the Group IT Application and Integration
manager.
Involved in aligning deliverables to the ICT strategy and long term objectives to support the evolving business requirements from a Group Application & integration perspective with direction from the Group IT Application and Integration manager.
Be part of the business team responsible for the set-up and implementations of the company’s Business Continuity Plan specific to the Group Applications & Integration solutions deployed.
Manage resources and their contribution to achieve maximum value for Aspen Group and Business Entities in various projects. These are not necessarily be group or direct reports to the function.
Involved in developing, maintaining and implementing policies, standards and processes for Group Applicants and Integration directives.
Keep up to date of emerging technology trends and developments and continuously assess External IT trends & Environments.
Ensure all application design and data integration solutions are built taking into account reusability an moving away point solutions paradigm of thinking.

Financial Management Accountability:

Effective utilization of resources to keep down project cost minimum for business units.
Provide input into the Group Business Systems Applications & Integration budget and ensure cost is contained and investments made bring the respective business value to the Aspen business together with Group Application & Integration manager.
Continuously drive to reduce operational cost, whilst still providing efficient services and support for the evolving business requirements.

IT Service Management Accountability (Customers And Stakeholders):

All queries are followed up and resolved n the agreed timeframe.
Internal and external customers are constantly updated as to the progress of their request enhancements or projects in process.
A professional attitude is displayed when responding to customers’ needs.
Have a desire to help and serve the business stakeholders to meet their needs. This is about listening to IT customers, working with them, understanding their requirements and concerns and focusing on the reasons why they require a particular service.

IT Service Delivery And Support Accountability:

Perform the support, enhancements and project delivery for the respective stakeholders.
Perform business modeling, requirement analysis, system design, project management system testing, change management & deployment for projects & enhancements.
Perform smooth implementation of IT systems in the business.
Project manage implementation projects, covering both user resources and IT resources.
Participate in the specification and sources of IT systems.
Facilitate Process & business modeling and analysis.
Enhance the business operations through IT capacity.
Support the data owners to assess, manage and structure data so it coherent, available, Maintainable and secure to meet the needs of the business.
Investigate and analyze specific business requirements and users needs to establish the suitability of an IT solution. This Involves the delivery of software
solutions, to agree specification that add value to the Aspen business.
Plan, Design, Build, Configure & Deploy business solutions as per business requirements defined by different business units.

Project Management Accountability:

Lead or be part of projects from the initiation through to Implementation, working with internal and external staeholders, consultants and other IT specialists.
This entailed being responsible overall for project deliveries working with the Group IT Project Management office at times.
Involve in the developments of strategic business plans that involve the conceptualization of the pan from initial (start-up) to implementation phase.
Prepare and present reports on findings of research undertaken so decision could be made if the project is justifiable.
This include:
Preparing
Project feasibility reports,
Conducting cost benefit analysis,
Return on investment calculation,
And ongoing cost calculations,
Develop project estimates and schedules,
Create project proposals and projects briefs to attain prior approval from relevant stakeholders before engaging any project.
Develop integrated project plans, work breakdown structures, implementation schedules, and time/cost estimates for projects.
Monitor project progress to ensure projects are timeously tracked, that projects are within budgets and deadlines/milestones met.
Manage project management documentation and report on progress
Assogn personnel to projects, taking cognizance of project management principle, specifications, time parameters, health, safety, environmental and legal requirements.
Performs an IT Lead role on projects when required. Be involved in and/or lead team initiatives, as required, to meet business objectives/deadlines.
Take responsibility and ensure that for all systems development projects the:
Project proposal contains time, cost and measurable milestone information.
Development proposals are approved in accordance with the authority schedule.
Actual development costs are monitored against the budget
Appropriate documentation maintained.

IT Governance and Risk Management:

Comply with IT Governance and Project Governance Standards in place.
Assess Application and integration risks and construct remediation plans to overcome these.
Comply to quality assurance processes in place for applications in the different business units.
Develop and maintain policies for group applications and integration area.

HR Training and Development Accountability:

Identify development and training needs of self and team when necessary:
Staff performance is monitored against standards and regular feedback is provided.
Performance discussions are held to identify learning requirements.
Training or solutions are provided for developmental needs.
Provide ongoing assessment and feedback of development.

Requirements:

EDUCATION:
Matric/Grade 12
Degree/Diploma in IT
Supply chain Management
Application Integration Experience
TOGAF
Project Management Certificate
ITIL Foundation
EXPERIENCE:
Troubleshoot and diagnose environment/application/database/and related problems together with remediation plans.
Develop and architect solutions that solve related business & system Problems and generate maximum value.
Good Communication Skills.
Core competencies in systems infrastructure.
Systems development, demand planning tools and best practices.
Understanding of supply chain management, applications & integration concepts & master data management solutions together with financial integration.
Experience in Forecasting techniques, statistical & forecast data models, historical data analysis are desired.
Knowledge on technical and system architecture concepts, supply chain management related integration, experience of scripting, scripting, databases, SQL and
Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools is desired
Self driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines.
Must have good interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of SDLC, Project Management, Testing Processes, IT Implementation, Information Management.
In depth knowledge of systems/data integration.
Experience in IT Service Management service Delivery and Service Support.
