SALARY : R270 804 per annum (plus benefits)
CENTRE : Central office, Johannesburg

REQUIREMENTS : A degree or National Diploma in Finance or Business or equivalent qualification
in Finance, Logistics or Supply Chain Management. Extensive experience in
executive Supply Chain Management, particularly logistics management, with at
least 2 years at supervisory level. Sound understanding of basic accounting
principles Key Competencies: The ability to work independently. Strong analytical
skills. Good interpersonal relations. The ability to work effectively with officials
across all levels within the Department. Strong computer skills, especially Excel,
Word, PowerPoint and SAP. The ability to prepare and analyse figures. Strong
management skills. The ability to manage a team of people. Strong attention to
detail. Communication skills (Written and Verbal). Self-starter with strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to organize multiple and complex tasks.
Knowledge and understanding of the SAP system as well as the Departmental
Reporting Framework Guide. Sound administration knowledge of provisioning
and procurement management in accordance with strategies, policies and
applicable legislation, including the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1
of 1999; PFMA). A valid driver’s licence. Computer literacy.

DUTIES : Performance Areas: The incumbent will be responsible for logistics management,
which includes the following: Codification of items. Setting and management of
inventory levels by ensuring just-in-time delivery. Receiving and distribution of
goods. Warehousing and inventory management. Ordering and GRV capturing.
Supplier management. Transport services.
