Brightside Energy Entrepreneur Internship

A different internship, as an entrepreneur and business developer, in a brand new start-up in Cape Town. This is a true entrepreneurial experience for the right person, assisting in building up a company from almost scratch. The candidate would be the first employee of the company.

Brightside Energy is a distributor of Solar Energy Equipment in Africa, initially offering solar modules and battery solutions to the African market.
The venture is very ambitious and will within 5 years have offices in every region in Africa and a market leading position as distribution of solar equipment in the African market.

Brightside Energy would like to offer one student a possibility to do an internship for 3-6 months setting up a new venture in Cape Town, South Africa. The internship can lead to a full-time position within the business.

The position would be an all-round position adapted to the person strengths, and can entail Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Administration, Logistics and HR. As in every entrepreneurial environment the job would be very varied and not specific.

Person Requirements

The right person should have an entrepreneurial mind-set, detail oriented and solution focused.

Leadership and entrepreneurial potential, ability to both lead and create a new business. Great communication skill and team working is essential.

Language skills are beneficiary, particular French, Arabic, Portuguese and Swahili

The most important criteria is to have a good chemistry with the founder and being a winner type that is hungry for a success.
