The main focus of this role is to design and deliver quality training solutions for client projects
Qualifications: Tertiary – BCom, BEd degree or relevant
Job Objectives:
- To design training material
- To facilitate and deliver training for internal and client projects
- Contribute towards creative and quality training solutions
Experience: 2-6 years
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Knowledge of assessment principles and design of assessment tasks
- Extensive understanding / knowledge of IT training
- Knowledge of SETA requirements and standards
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven track record of quality training material design or facilitation
- Presentation skills
- Facilitation skills
- Quality assurance of content, proofreading skills
- Written communication skills
- Computer literate, especially Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes
- Training development tools, e.g. simulation tools, assessment tools and learning management systems
- Accredited assessor and / or moderator (desirable)
- Accredited ETD Practioner (desirable)
Key Performance Areas:
- Design training templates and standards
- Design required training material types (course outlines, training manuals, quick reference guides, facilitator guides, assessments etc.)
- Develop training material according to appropriate unit standards or outcomes
- Develop paper-based or electronic training material using appropriate tools
- Facilitate training courses
- Assess learners
- Facilitate train-the-trainer courses
- Quality assurance of training content
- Present prescribed in-house training courses
- Mentoring
- Coaching
