b) Should a student complete his/her studies with the help of a study loan from the Ermelo Town Council, his/her debt will be remitted provided that he/she accepts a position with the Ermelo Town Council for a period equal to the period of study, should a suitable vacancy exist.

Who can apply: Any SA citizen residing within the area of jurisdiction of the Greater Germiston, who is able to gain entrance to any recognised tertiary educational institution is considered for the allocation of a bursary.
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants from outside the Greater Germiston municipal area will not be considered. Study bursaries are intended for pre-graduate studies only. Children of Council employees are considered for the allocation of a bursary irrespective of their being resident within the area of jurisdiction of Greater Germiston or not, but will, however, be subjected to the fulfilment of the rest of the bursary conditions.
NB. NO application towards postgraduate studies will be considered. No application whereby the applicant intends to study extra-murally or by means of correspondence will be considered.
