•All MultiChoice Africa staff members
•Naspers Group companies, MWEB, Irdeto
•Outsourced external suppliers and service providers e.g. WEB Services, installers, payment platform providers, STB manufacturers
•MultiChoice customers (subscribers)
•Internal MultiChoice divisions, DStv On-line, IT, BTD

OUTPUTS:

(Products, services, programs and information which the individual must provide to external individuals or groups, or one another to accomplish the organisation’s mission and strategy)

• Document system requirements for Africa
•Concluded gap and feasibility studies into system requirements vs user requirements
•Alignment of system requirements with business requirements
•Ensure required integration of all e-commerce initiatives into back end systems
•Ensure e-commerce requirements are included in systems solutions and architecture
•Designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and upgrading customer interaction platforms and web services
•Develop and maintain new media platforms like Facebook, Twitter
•Create secure data transfer between web and internal systems
•Development and management of website systems
•Design, develop and implement database interfaces
•Development and maintenance of the Application and Technology Reference Architectures and supporting architectures (Business solutions and Process)
•Translated business, process and information architectures in terms of technical capabilities
•Define the to-be technology architecture based on business and technology drivers
•Conduct regular reviews of the to-be technology models and modify as required to support the business and technology objectives.
•Provide research and development capability to the Africa Management team
•Research and development of technologies and system solutions for input Africa business system frameworks.
•Developed physical integration models and systems
•Development of an overall infrastructure plan
•Defined and implemented system solutions
•Defined technical skills required for technology enablement.
•Co-ordinated data and security architectures.
•Ensured product and systems analysis during acquisition phase of vendors and respective products.
COMPETENCIES:

Functional

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure and network administration
•Qualifications –bachelor’s degree or similar qualification of a IT nature
•ITIL
•Systems life cycle management
•Expertise in integration methods
•Strong knowledge of the software development process
•Application/System architecture design and documentation
•Agile software development values, principles and practices
•Coordinating production implementation with 3rd parties
•A firm grasp of social and legal policies
•Proven management of enterprise level websites
•Strong knowledge of .NET based technologies
•In depth knowledge of Web Development technologies – to include HTML, JavaScript, CSS
•Strong database knowledge specifically SQL Server or MySQL
•Business process optimization skills
•Appropriate temperament and skill to conduct training and coach others
•Financial analysis and modelling experience
•Pay television industry or Telecommunications market knowledge
