The Intern: Electoral Matters will contribute towards the efficient co-ordination of electoral matters projects in the Province. The Intern reports to the Manager: Corporate Services.

Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas: provide professional and support services with regard to labour relations, employment equity (EE) and policy development in accordance with the relevant legislation, as well as internal IEC policies and procedures; render a policy advisory service; continuous assessment of and reporting on the labour relations and EE climate in the IEC;

The Eastern Cape Department of Roads and Public Works, through the ambit of Expanded Public Works Programme, intends to contract 500 young people (aged 18 – 35 years) to be part of the National Youth Service implementation programme for a period of 18 moths. Selected youths will be expected to attend a training programme on maintenance of buildings and roads and capturing of data on the Amathuba portal and on completion of the programme, they will maintain government buildings such as schools, clinics and offices.
