Job Purpose:
To provide recent graduates with experiential training that will lead to the development of their technical knowledge into marketable skills. Reporting to the Scientist: Water and Environmental Services, take this opportunity to join the Engineering & Scientific, and implement the organization’s integrated catchment and environmental management activities, to assure public health and resource sustainability in all its markets.
Key Responsibilities
These will include * potable and wastewater water quality compliance reporting * reliable and safe data storage and retrieval * water quality and environmental sustainability reports * stakeholder relationship management (institutional representation and lobbying) * catchment management plans to protect source water quality * environmental management of existing infrastructure and new infrastructure development * implementing programmes to ensure resource conservation and minimize environmental impacts arising from the organization’s activities * continually building awareness regarding sustainability issues.
Minimum Qualification, Knowlege & Skills Minimum Requirements:
B Sc Honours in chemistry or other Natural Science subject as a major.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
We are looking for a results-driven person, a team player and who is customer focused * has knowledge of water quality, environmental and catchment management issues and an ability to apply this knowledge * an ability to use GIS/Spatial analysis techniques and advanced software for data manipulation * an ability to communicate well at all levels * an ability to plan and organise workloads effectively to enhance performance.
