Minimum requirements:
 Matric, National Diploma/ B Com Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification at NQF 5/6.
 At least 5 – 7 years financial management experience of which 3 years must be at managerial level
 Computer Literacy
 Valid Driver’s License
 In depth knowledge of local government finance legislation and principles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
 Identifies strategies and implements plans to achieve objective and priorities associated with revenue growth
 Analyzing WSA income and expenditure trends and compiling forecast for inclusion in the consolidated budget.
 Compiling quarterly reports, departmental Annual financial statement.
 Manages and control the key performance indicators and outcomes of personnel.
 Defining and adjust workflow processes against laid down procedures and services delivery requirements.
 Conduct staff appraisal , Counseling and consult with individual employees on short and long term objectives of the department
 Manages applications and sequences associated with recording ,adjustment and updating of related WSA transaction and accounts
 Monitor the debtor age analysis to determine progress with recovery and investigate the reasons for non compliance
 Manages application sequences associated with recording, authorizing and execution of expenditure transaction.
 Analyzing account records and entries of transaction sequences and approving the processing of adjustment through journal entries, reconciliation, and posting to general ledger of creditors account.
