Preference will be given to graduates from the University of Cape Town (UCT), University of the Western Cape (UWC), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and University of Stellenbosch (US), and who have not enrolled for further studies coinciding with the internship period.

The City of Cape Town is offering a full-time 12-month internship for 39 new graduates in specific study fields. The internship provides an exciting opportunity for graduates to develop capacity and skills in key operational areas in the City of Cape Town and to gain practical hands-on experience. The interns will be mentored by managers within relevant City departments. Skills development will be enhanced by attending compulsory capacity-building and training workshops and appropriate training interventions could also be attended when and if necessary.

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geography, Urban Planning, Economics or International Relations or some combination of these.
