About the Business Line    Transportation
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Our global network of top-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries.

 

Job Summary    

Duties will include:

Conceptual and detailed design of civil infrastructure for municipal projects:

Earthworks;
Roads;
Storm-Water Reticulation;
Sewer Reticulation;
Water Reticulation;
Contract documentation including the preparation of bills of quantities;
Liaise with clients and professional team and contractors;
Supervision of support staff;
Site supervision;
Complete any other work related to projects within the Department

 Minimum Requirements:

BTech (Civil Engineering)

Work related experience required (including skills or abilities to do the job):

Min 3 years post graduate experience within a Consulting Engineering environment;
Experience in the design and suprvision of Municipal projects, especially informal settlements is advantageous;
High degree of proficiency in the following:

AutoCAD
MS Office Suite
Civil 3D and/or ModelMaker Suite

Personal Attributes:

Committed individual, ability to plan and execute work independently, good communication skills; ability to work and support a professional team; ability to multi-task i.e. work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Other Comments:
Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license
