CONTROL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN GRADE A (SECTION HEAD:
LOGISTIC ELEMENTS)

SALARY : OSD Salary Range: C.E.Tec-A R320 856 – R 791 574 per annum
CENTRE : Naval Engineering Section, Simon’s Town.

 

REQUIREMENTS : National Diploma in Engineering. Six Years post qualification technical
experience required and a valid Driver’s License. Special requirements: Proven
experience in a Design Environment, Logistic Support Analysis or Logistic Plans
development environment is essential. Experience in Logistic Plans
development, experience in Logistic support design, specification and
verification, experience in establishing logistic elements as contained in Support
Baselines. Knowledge of Systems Engineering, Verbal and written
communications skills, Analytical and problem solving skills and interpretation
and analysis. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents
is essential. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite. Strong interpersonal
and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet target dates.
Knowledge of legal compliance. Statutory Requirement: Compulsory registration
with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician.

 

DUTIES : Executing logistic element development, providing a logistic element
specification, acceptance and verification service, providing a specialist service in
respect of establishing elements as contained in support baselines, providing an
Integrated Logistics Plans development service, providing logistic support system
design,. Managing Logistic Element Personnel.
