There exist positions for third- and fourth-year students to perform vacation work in June/July 2012 in the field of micro manufacturing.

These areas involve manipulation of biosensor surfaces for molecular detection.

Project: A novel micro cantilever able to detect bacteria in water samples. Students studying in the area of life sciences (BSc) are invited to apply.

Successful applicants will be given specific tasks within the specified project and will be expected to perform laboratory work and literature studies. Projects worked on could lead to final-year project topics or postgraduate study direction.

Travel and accommodation costs will be paid for by the students. The working time at the CSIR will be a minimum of four weeks.
