CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE: INFORMATION CENTRE REF NO: COO04/2015
SALARY : R227 802 per annum (Total package of R320 320 per annum / conditions apply)
CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : A recognised three year National Diploma in Customer Service Management or an
equivalent relevant accredited qualification in Communications plus relevant experience
in customer contact centre; Public Service training in Customer care an advantage,
Ability to gather and analyse information; Knowledge and ability to apply Batho Pele
principles; Ability to work with difficult clients and resolve queries; Ability to engage and
liaise with stakeholders at different levels. Good communication skills (verbal and
written); Listening skills; Sound interpersonal relations, organisational and planning skills;
Computer literate (familiar with packages such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, MS
Word, Internet, etc.) and Report Writing. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team; A valid driver’s licence; Must be prepared to travel, work long hours and work over
weekends and public holidays if required.

DUTIES : Handle face-to-face contacts (calls, e-mail, post and faxes) with prescribed processes in
line with Batho Pele Principles, Handle Presidential queries to enhance service delivery,
Capture the queries on the database with completed resolution taken, Provide feedback
to team leaders on an-going basis; Ensure availability to handle contacts by adhering to
schedule; Render communication support which includes providing support to awareness
campaigns, exhibitions and public participation events. Receive and register application
forms (jobs, tenders, databases, internships, bursaries, EIA and Waste licensing);
Manage the distribution of publications.
