Form Z83, obtainable from any Government department or online at www.gov.za. All sections of the Z83 must be completed and signed
and the application form should be accompanied by a comprehensive CV (including two recent and contactable referees) and original
certified copies of the applicant’s ID and educational qualifications. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications
evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) prior to the selection process. Applicants applying for more than one post
must submit a separate form Z83 (as well as the documentation mentioned above) in respect of each post being applied for. If an
applicant wishes to withdraw an application it must be done in writing. Failure to submit the required documentation will automatically

POST : Accounting Clerk (3 posts)

REFERENCE : DAC/02

SALARY : R115 212 per annum (Level 5)

CENTRE : Directorate: Financial Administration, Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS  Applicants must be in possession of a Senior certificate with Accounting as a fully passed subject ● At least 1 year experience in the
relevant field. The following are essential requirements:  Good communication skills  Knowledge of the BAS, PERSAL and LOGIS
systems  Knowledge of the treasury regulations (PFMA, SCOA, etc.)  Computer literacy (MS Office).

DUTIES :

The appointee will assist with the facilitation of the following:  Control, file and retrieve payment batches  Assist in checking and
verifying the completeness, validity and accuracy of payment documents  Assist in checking and verifying the completeness of log 1
 Capture journals and payments on the BAS system  Compile payment advices and capture maintenance forms on the BAS system
 Capture allowances and deductions on the PERSAL system  Administration and reconciliation of the Payroll  Capture journals and
payments on the BAS system  Filing all Salary documents and reports on relevant files  Assist with Subsistence and Travelling claims
and advances, when the need arises  Capture payments on the LOGIS system  Capture banking details on the LOGIS system
 Follow-up on the 0-9 file management  Filing of payment documents on the relevant files  Reconciliation of accounts.
