Will be responsible for the administration of the NIPMO website. Facilitation of ICT support. Administration of NIPMO social media pages. KIM Project coordination. Systems configuration and administration
National Senior Certificate and Diploma/ Certificate in Office Administration or related would be an advantage. Knowledge: Administrative skills, Communication skills, Advanced Computer skills, Event coordination, General office administration, Document and file management and Organising skills, at least 1-2 years relevant secretarial experience.
The successful candidate would assist two Directors by providing:- Secretarial support such as diary and telephone management.
Administrative support by maintaining proper workflow and filing system and manage routine correspondence. Logistical support such as organising workshops/events and meetings, arranging travel and accommodation, stationery processing and the processing of subsistence and travel allowances.
• An undergraduate qualification in commerce (for example Bachelors of Commerce degree).
• An understanding of the general intellectual property and the technology transfer environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge and understanding of computer programmes, especially excel, and an ability to perform mathematical calculations is essential.

• Possess an ability and willingness to perform administrative tasks and be computer literate.
• Reporting to the Deputy-Director: IP Specialist, within the Regulatory and Compliance Directorate of NIPMO, the job profile will include (a) assisting in the management of the Intellectual Property (IP) Fund including reviewing compliance of the applications submitted, preparing for the internal IP Fund Committee meetings and processing the payments to applicants and (b) assisting in the processing of the full cost matrix submissions received by the NIPMO including research into best practices for full cost calculations and preparing the necessary documentation for review by the NIPMO Advisory Board.
• An undergraduate qualification (including, for example, commerce or an LLB) and some legal experience is required.
• The incumbent must have a working knowledge and understanding of the Intellectual Property Rights from Publicly Financed Research and Development Act (51 of 2008; IPR-FPRD Act).
• An understanding of the general intellectual property (IP) and the technology transfer environment
• and its associated legislation would be advantageous.
• A basic knowledge and understanding of contract law is beneficial.

• Reporting to the Deputy-Director: IP Attorney, within the Regulatory and Compliance directorate of NIPMO, the job profile will include (a) conducting legal research into a number of sources of law (including Act, Regulations and case law), interpreting and applying the law to various scenarios posed and generating a legal opinion; (b) drafting and/or reviewing of contracts for compliance with the IPR-PFRD Act and other IP or general legislation; (c) assisting with the review of institutional IP policies and (d) assisting in the review of submissions received by the NIPMO from stakeholders.
