REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate Trade Test certificate in Earth moving equipment
mechanic/Construction plant mechanic/Diesel mechanic; plus Possession of
a valid driver’s licence (minimum Code C1). Knowledge, Skills, Training and
Competencies Required: Technical analysis knowledge. Technical Report
writing knowledge. Knowledge of Computer Aided technical applications.

DUTIES : Design: Produce designs according to client specification and within limits of
production capability. Production: Produce objects with material and
equipment according to job specification and recognized standards. Quality
assure produced objects. Maintenance: Inspect equipment and/or facilities for
technical faults. Repair equipment and facilities according to standards. Test
repaired equipment and/or facilities against specifications. Service equipment
and/or facilities according to schedule. Quality assure serviced and
maintained equipment and/or facilities. Perform administrative and related
functions: Compile and submit reports. Provide inputs to the operational plan.
Keep and maintain job record/register. Supervise and mentor staff. Maintain
expertise: Continuous individual development to keep up with new
technologies and procedures.
