Dry Goods Controller Job Opportunity

Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in Secondary Production, Green Park, Epping 2, Cape Town. The successful applicant will report to the Dry Goods Manager.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

? Effective management of Dry Goods:
– Ensure materials availability;
– Limiting losses and write-offs;
– Control of Opex;
– Ensure risk / safety policy is adhered to.
? Responsible for the successful implementation of business plan initiatives;
? Ensuring high level of customer service through the loading and offloading of contracted transport;
? Responsible for the effective supply of dry goods to production;
? Responsible for the development of competent and motivated people;
? Ensuring continuous improvement principles are applied.

The successful candidate must preferably have the following experience / skills / abilities:

? Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role within a stores environment;
? Experience in stock management is essential;
? Understanding of standard operating procedures within a stores environment;
? Computer literacy in MS Office Suite and SAP will be advantageous;
? Good communication and interpersonal skills;
? Ability to work independently and under pressure;
? Energetic and enjoy a fast paced working environment;
? Willing and able to work extended hours / overtime and/or shifts as and/or when required (all types of shift patterns);
? Must have reliable transport to and from work;
? Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.

Qualification/s required:

? Minimum Grade 12;
? A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
