Provide business intelligence by conceptualizing, defining and delivering new reports, as well as improving existing reports that result in information for strategic and operational decision making.
Analysis of data from various sources in order to ensure that the business acts proactively on the information at its disposal
Ensures Customer and Market Growth
Participate and lead research and development efforts (proofs of concept, prototypes) as analytics subject matter expert, when introducing new Management information reports to aid with business decision making.
Support strategic market research for the brands and the affiliate with studies such as brand awareness, advertising and promotion effectiveness studies, shopper research studies and market size and growth studies.
Detailed analysis of our business, to recommend growth and/or cost saving opportunities within the Corporation or by Brand.
Collection, interpretation and deployment on consumer insight that allows the brands to acquire and retain their customers. Analyse consumer and sales data to enhance the insights to the ELC consumer.
Continually searching for new and useful ways to obtain, integrate and analyze data that is relevant to the company’s business model.
Manages Operational effectiveness
Integrate insights with corporate marketing functions; seeking input from Sales-, CRM- and Online teams and Media agencies. Educate relevant peers in consumer knowledge and insights.
Work with business unit representatives in designing and planning BI queries, reports and views.
Creatively combine the various data sources within the organization and manage the data sources to provide insightful and new information on profit or cost saving opportunities.
Integration of new sources of data into company databases so that it can also be analyzed and included in relevant reports.

Works with IT and Brand management on the development and maintenance of a data warehouse.
Analysing the source data and designing the necessary business rules for extracting, transforming and loading the data
Interface with retail partners on receiving sales data in the required data format and structures.

Integration of data into relevant workflow processes, with the specific aim of continuously improving business processes

Education, Experience and Physical Requirements
MBA, BComm or BSc Degree
Experience in BI Development; data mining, modelling and data analysis
Market research experience, market intelligence, qualitative and quantitative research methods
Business analysis experience; business acumen
Knowledge of relational databases, reporting tools, Qlikview is required and JD Edwards/SAP, Lotus Notes is highly preferable but not essential
