Job Location: Kwa Zulu Natal (Exxaro KZN Sands – Empangeni)

Qualifications: Grade 12/N3 with Maths & Science, electrical & mechanical trade theory

An MQA Accredited Millwright Qualification

Experience & Requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years practical experience in a heavy minerals industry. Plant maintenance and workshop experience will be a recommendation. Experience in the Mineral Sands Industry will be advantagous
• Knowledge required: Communication skills, leadership skills, able to work under pressure, individually or as a member of a team, relationship building, and able to work in a team environment.
• Personal Attributes required: Planning & organizing, decision making, impact & influence, working to standards, initiative, team work & co-operation, interpersonal relationship, communication, and self confidence

Key Performance Areas:

• The incumbent will be responsible for:
• Performing day to day shift duties as prescribed in the field of the Millwright
• Keeping downtime to a minimum during plant operation
• Making sound plant and equipment maintenance decisions
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and practices
• Processing necessary documentation on shift and provide regular and clear feedback
• Clean equipment / work area
• Daily plant inspections

The position will be based at Exxaro KZN Sands, Hillendale Mine.

Appointments are dependent on the completion of a successful medical examination and receipt of a valid medical certificate. Exxaro facilicates such medical examinations where required.
