Role Purpose:

The Financial Administrator role in the Company requires an analytical ability to identify solutions to problems in the immediate

area of expertise. Due to it being a skilled role, the incumbent will be required to be flexible and thus be able to switch from one

specialised task to another, depending on the work load and priorities of the department. The ability to multi-skill across

different financial departments and procedures will be to the incumbent’s advantage. The incumbent will be required to control

specific financial accounting processes in a division in support of the financial team’s deadlines and compliances.

 

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements

 

Experience:

At least three years experience in financial administration of a department, taking responsibility for certain accounting processes

 

Qualifications:

Grade 12 or Diploma or Higher Certificate in Accounting and Commerce

 

Role Outputs:

Allocates debit order and cash payments received

Ensures money is collected and payment receipts matched on the system as well as payments to creditors made on time

Ensures operational excellence through the delivery of work processes according to defined quality standards

Ensures successful billing run and statements sent to clients

Investigates data to find reasons for client queries

Prepares Statements and Reports

Prepares payments on systems to ensure on-time payment release by other departments

Reconciles ledgers and allocation of costs to internal cost centres through journals and ledgers
