This is a customer-service-focused position working directly with patients and their families, insurance representatives, doctors and other medical personnel in a dynamic and professional environment to provide the highest level of quality healthcare to all patients.
- Provide extraordinary customer service to all internal and external customers (including patients and other Jencare Medical team members) at all times.
- Interact appropriately with patients and record information while greeting, checking-in, checking-out or scheduling appointments for patients.
- Utilize computer programs to add new patients, check patients in and out, print out relevant forms for processing, and schedule appointments.
- Answer telephones, take detailed and accurate messages, and ensure messages are directed to the appropriate individual.
- Clearly communicate information about Jencare Medical Associates to patients and other individuals.
- Verify patient insurance via phone or website and collect any necessary payment for services.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patients’ personal information and medical records.
- Review patients’ personal and appointment information for completeness and accuracy.
- Transmit correspondence by mail, e-mail, or fax.
- Coordinate all referrals
