The Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development (DID) is calling on all suitably qualified and willing Gauteng citizens to apply before 17 October 2013 for bursary opportunities offered by the department. The bursaries will cover registration, tuition fees payable directly to the institution of learning and prescribed text books and equipment; student accommodation will also be covered provided a detailed motivation letter is attached to the bursary application form. The bursaries will be awarded for the prescribed duration of the National Diploma, B-Tech or Degree as determined by the learning institution.

 

Eligible candidate need to:

Be willing to be a full time student,

Demonstrate academic potential and good academic progress report if already at an institution of learning and

Show provisional acceptance or proof of registration from an institution of higher learning.

NB:

Learners with a disability who meet the above requirements are encouraged to apply.

Engineering:

SC/BEng /B-Tech: Civil Engineering (Ref: GPDID 2013/14/1)

BSC/ BEng /B-Tech: Mechanical Engineering (Ref: GPDID 2013/14/2)

BSC/ BEng /B-Tech: Electrical Engineering ( Ref: GPDID 2013/14/3)

 

Construction:

BSC/B-Tech: Architecture/Quantity Surveying/ Town & Regional Planning ( Ref: GPDID 2013/14/4)

 

Property Management:

Degree/ND: Property Management (Ref: GPDID 2013/14/5)

 

Finance:

B Com/ND: Cost and Management Accounting/ Accounting (Ref: GPDID 2013/14/6)

BCom/ND: Supply Chain Management (Ref: GPDID 2013/14/7)

 

Information Technology

B-Tech/ND: Financial Information System/ Information Technology (Ref: GPDID 2013/14/8)

How to apply

Bursary application requirements:

Applicants are required to complete the GPDID Bursary Application form (Download HERE) and hand delivers it at 78 Fox Street, Standard Bank Building, 3rd floor, Human Resource Development Unit, Johannesburg.

The form should be accompanied by: a certified copy of an applicant’s Identity Document (ID), all educational qualifications, grade 12 certificate, or a copy of your academic record which confirms completion.

Applications received after the closing date (17 October 2013) and those that do not comply with the requirements will not be considered.
