The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) has Internship opportunities in the following:

Business Areas:

1. Audit Risk and Governance (Preferred Qualification:- B-Degree with Risk Management as a major)

2. Planning and Budgeting (Preferred Qualification:- B- Degree / National Diploma in Management Accounting, Economics or equivalent)

3. Administration (Preferred Qualification:- National Diploma or B-Degree with Office Management or equivalent)

4. Parliamentary Business (Preferred Qualification:- Matric Certificate and / or Diploma or Degree in any of the following fields – Law, Political Science, Development Studies, Social Science, Public Administration)

 

Internship Logistics

The 12 month internship programme will commence on 1 May 2014 until 30 April 2015.

Interns will receive a stipend of R4 000 per month and are encouraged to send their CV’s before or on 17 April 2014 to be considered for shortlisting.

Requirements:

Applicants must have a qualification in one of the fields listed. To apply, submit a detailed CV, certified copies of certificates, transcripts, identity document and a cover letter to the GPL by no later than CLOSE OF BUSINESS 17 APRIL 2014.

Failure to submit required documents will result in the application not being considered. A candidate that was previously employed under any internship programme or currently employed will not be considered.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA).

Applications must be submitted via mail or hand delivered for receipt on or before Close of Business 17 April 2014. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
