ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: AUDIT COMMITTEE SCRETARIAT 2 POSTS
Chief Directorate: Risk Management
SALARY : R270 804 – R327 126 per annum, (plus benefits)
CENTRE : Johannesburg
REQUIREMENTS : The successful candidate should have at least a National Diploma or Equivalent tertiary qualification in Office Administration/Secretarial or any other relevant qualification and 2-3 years’ experience in the public sector in the areas of Finance/Auditing/Administration. Minutes taking, report writing skills and computer literacy (Word, Excel, MS Outlook etc.) are a prerequisite. Must have good communication skills (written and verbal) and must be able to work under pressure.
DUTIES : The incumbent will be responsible to assist to develop and manage the operational plan to ensure effectiveness of the Audit Committee Sub-Directorate and report on progress as required, including the facilitation of effective communication with relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally. Ensure fully functional, operational and effective Audit Committees within Gauteng Provincial Government and the implementation of effective Governance principles.
Assist in compiling budget forecast and monitor expenditure through the implementation of adequate payment reconciliation as well as the payment of Audit Committee Members within the stipulated timeframes. Ensure effective administration, logistical arrangements and managing of risks pertaining to the operations of the GPG Audit Committee Sub-Directorate. Attend all GPG Audit Committee meetings and record the proceedings of the meetings.
