This position supports the Africa Region to drive Commercial and Operational Excellence with responsibilities including sales force effectiveness, CLP program management, customer satisfaction/issue resolution process improvements, and driving operating rhythm and initiatives for the region and the mining vertical.
. Work with regional and mining vertical commercial leaders to drive commercial excellence and process improvement with their teams. Also helping the commercial leaders align their priorities with the broader business growth strategy.
. Coordinate regional and vertical leadership meetings and presentations for JK reviews, SII and GPB.
. Own the region’s and mining vertical operating metrics and rhythm to achieve goals and objectives.
. Drive Global Energy strategic initiatives into region and vertical: translate, implement and coordinate with global teams, track progress and ensure measureable impact.
. Manage regional CLP program members; including hiring, assignments, performance and off program placement, partnering with regional HR.
. Work with operating leaders and their teams to uncover and assess opportunities to drive operational excellence.
This role can be as a Black Belt and if so the responsibilities would also include:
. Serve as a change agent in institutionalizing Lean Six Sigma quality by constantly seeking, sharing, and implementing improvements.
. Coach and mentor Green Belts and others on Lean Six Sigma philosophy and application.
During the role, the individual through training and completion of Lean Six Sigma projects, will receive Black Belt certification.
Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in business or a technical discipline.
. Commercial or Technical background with experience with Sales, Comm Ops or Marketing processes for a minimum of 3 years.
. Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
. Statistical and analytical capability.
. Ability to work effectively cross functionally.
. Team player with strong execution focus.
. Green Belt certification (internal GE Employees only)
Energy sales or commercial operations experience.
. Project management experience
