REQUIREMENTS : ABET or equivalent qualification. Ability to read and write. Knowledge of gardening equipment and appliances. Be able to work in a team. Be able to perform manual work. Show commitment and loyalty. Must be punctual, productive and show good behavior towards customers. Communication skills. Good interpersonal relations.

 

DUTIES : Maintain premises and surroundings. Maintain garden. Loading and offloading of Goods.

NOTE : Applications should be submitted on the prescribed Form Z83 (Obtainable from any Public Service Department or on the Internet at www.gov.za), which must be completed in full, originally signed and dated by the applicant. Any application should be accompanied by a recent updated comprehensive CV (previous experience must be comprehensively detailed, i.e. positions held and dates) as well as certified copies of all qualifications, endorsed academic record/transcript, ID document and where it is a requirement, a certified copy of the driver’s license must be attached.

Certified copies of certified copies will be disqualified. All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to security clearance. The successful candidate must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy with the Department. The appointment will be subjected to the verification of educational qualifications, previous experience, citizenship, reference checks and security vetting. Candidates with foreign qualifications are advised to attach SAQA accreditation of their qualifications. SMS candidates will be subjected to a competency assessment test and will be required to sign a performance agreement and an employment contract once appointed.
