Required skills and exprience
Matric with maths as a subject; Accounting and advantage
Tertiary qualification in HR/Payroll administration would be and advantage
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role essential
Salaries & wages experience a must
proficient on MS Office, particularly excel a must
Understanding of the confidential nature of payroll & sensitivity of payroll queries
Experience in dealing with UIF/Tax
Understanding of overall compensation programs
Understanding of human resources concepts & practices
Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
Attention to detail
Methodical
Deadline driven and good communication skills

Roles and responsibilities
Capturing & calculating payroll data
Attending to queries
Maintaining personal records for salaried & wages staff
Maintaining leave records for all staff & calculate monthly leave pay provision
Updating payroll as & when required
Responding to medical aid & provident fund queries and changes
Assisting in day to day duties for the effective functioning of the HR Department
