The aim of the National Accounts team is to leverage Groupon’s platform to generate unprecedented amounts of new customers and sales for large blue chip brands and online businesses. Your responsibility will be to establish and maintain relationships with executives in these companies and negotiate offers to feature. A Groupon feature can result in tens of thousands of sales for a single partner. Hence attention to detail is a crucial. Once a feature goes live, it will be your responsibility to take ownership ensuring it runs without a fault.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify new businesses to be featured, expanding the range of offers for our subscribers.
Managing key accounts
Adopt a consultative approach to present Groupon as a unique opportunity for businesses to acquire new customers
Meet and over achieve on weekly and monthly revenue targets
Proactively seek out opportunities by pitching to prospects and leveraging your existing network to generate new business
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 5 years sales experience
Sales management experience is highly desirable
Experience in canvassing ecommerce and retail businesses
Confident pitching to decision makers of large blue chip companies
A proven track record in acquiring new business and experience in managing a large portfolio of accounts
Experience in affiliate, SEO marketing, retail and online businesses desirable
Network of contacts in the relevant sector is a definite bonus
Positive attitude, consultative approach and self-motivation are all essential
