HEALTH INFORMATION OFFICER: REF NO: 05575

SALARY : R183 438 per annum (plus benefits)
CENTRE : Tambo Memorial Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent with at least 10 years
experience/ or relevant National Diploma B. Degree in statistics/Bcom/Public
Administration with 2-5 years experience in Health information field and
advanced computer skills( Excel and Word). Typing skills, accuracy and highly
developed mathematical skills. Good communication skills ( verbal and written).

DUTIES : To capture, verify and manage departmental data. Control and verify that all
information and reports required monthly/quarterly and annually are received on
time. Check and verify the information on the reports and ensure that it is in
accordance with set requirements. Follow up on incomplete information. Capture
data within time frames. Check captured data for accuracy. Print summarized
reports and captured data. Perform all general and office administration duties.
Ability to convert statistics into graphs. Assist with analysis of data.
