Reporting To: General Manager – Digital Channel

Context:

Business Analysis role in the gathering business requirements, documenting business requirements, driving implementation, testing, training of users and ongoing support on all Digital Channel initiatives i.e. website development, online applications etc.

Represent the online user to find the balance between an optimal digital experience and the business needs

Customers:

All divisions across Hollard that has an online requirement (and mobi)

Outputs:

  • Facilitate workshops/one-to-one meetings with stakeholders across Hollard’s business area
  • Prepare and obtain approval of Business Specification documentation.
  • Gather and define business requirements for new applications and changes to existing applications and consulting to business on the optimal user experience i.e. design and layout
  • Identify and examine business needs and determine timely and effective solutions to business functions and processes
  • Liaise and communicate between business, digital channel and development teams
  • Impact analysis to identify and understand risks associated with a project as well as input to risk mitigation strategies
  • Participate in UAT and obtain sign off for UAT
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, e.g. process flows, conversions, systems releases
  • Assistance to business with preparation of business cases
  • Support project delivery by overseeing application’s development and system integration development and enhancements
  • Monitor performance of channel and constantly suggest improvements to increase usability and sales/interaction and provide assistance to users when required

Competencies:

Qualifications / Work Experience:

  • Degree – preferably B.Comm
  • Minimum 2 years experience in business analysis – essential
  • Experience in drawing up business requirements for online/web based applications integrating into business systems – essential
  • Experienced in Digital Sales Systems
  • Preferable financial services and/or banking sector experience

Knowledge:

  • Computer literacy – High proficiency in Excel & Visio necessary
  • Understanding of Insurance & Insurance Industry
  • Understanding of FAIS
