SALARY : R183 438 per annum (plus benefits)

CENTRE : Central Office, Johannesburg


REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 or equivalent qualification and 3 to 5 years’ experience in the field of
Human Resource Management. Good listening and communication skills (written,
verbal and liaison). Good computer skills (Ms word, Excel, etc.). Knowledge of the
Departmental Recruitment policy and other Public Service prescripts governing
Human Resources in the public service.


DUTIES : Render recruitment and selection services to the Department, including minute
taking during interviews and compile comprehensive submissions for the filling of
posts. Assist with the arrangement of shortlisting and interviews. Monitor
compliance to HR legislative prescripts. Issue letters of appointment / promotion.
Notify unsuccessful candidates in writing of the outcome of the interviews. Render
human resources administrative support and information services. Monitor
compliance to HR legislative prescripts.

Application and interpretation of
regulations and other legislative frameworks around HR issues, procedures and
policies. Ability to work under pressure and to meet departmental deadlines.
Monitoring and submitting monthly statistics on all unit functions. Draft complex
letters, submissions and circulars. Accept greater responsibility when requested.
Attend to internal and external enquiries on recruitment and other HR related
policies and procedures.

Guide and advice subordinates on handling of less
complicated routine notes, letters, submissions and telephone enquiries. Attend
departmental meetings for purposes of self-development and training, document
tracking, storage and retrieval, related to own work environment.
