Innovation Hub: Graduate Learnership Programme 2015 / 2016

The Innovation Hub is offering students with an entrepreneurial spirit the opportunity to bring about innovation within a corporate environment. The programme comprises of comprehensive training that will ensure students acquire technical skills, soft skills, professional skills and personal development.

The duration of the programme is 12 months, after which the participants will be ready to start their own small businesses with the support of The Innovation Hub’s Climate Innovation Centre (“CIC”) which is a business accelerator for companies in the green industry. The mandate of the CIC is to support innovators, entrepreneurs and SMMEs in the development of cutting-edge technologies and business models that effect climate change & sustainable environmental solutions that address local challenges.

Participants are given the choice to specialize in any of the following focus areas:

• Low – Carbon / Alternative Energy
• Waste Management / Waste to Energy
• Water Management / Water Security
• Cleaner / Alternative modes of transport
• Energy demand side management and monitoring

Requirements

Unemployed South African Citizens between 18 and 35 years with a minimum of National Certificate- NQF Level 5 Engineering and Science, in any of the following fields:

Environmental Management, Agricultural Management, Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Chemistry, Industrial, Mining, Construction, Analytical Chemistry), Geology;

Above average academic record;
