About the Business Line Building Engineering

We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government, commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering, acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in every design.
Job Summary AECOM has vacancies for Interns who need to complete their P1&P2 Experiential Learning as part of the requirement to finalise their National Diploma.

The AECOM Internship program is a 12 month program that will provide the successful candidates with Experiential Learning within Buildings & Places and related disciplines.

We have positions available in Durban, Cape Town and Sandton. Should you be interested in more than one role please apply for each individually.

The Program is open to students who need to complete their P1&P2 Experiential Learning within 2017. The program will run from January 2017 to December 2017.

Job Summary
Successful candidates will be working with in the Building Engineering (Electrical, Structural and Mechanical) business line, assisting engineering and project management teams to deliver on multi-disciplinary projects.

Application Process

As part of the application process please upload copies of your academic record, ID and letter from the University of Technology confirming that you need to complete the Experiential Learning component of your National Diploma.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade point average of 65% or higher
  • Letter from the University of Technology confirming that you need to complete the Experiential Learning component of your National Diploma
  • Willing to relocate within South Africa – candidates may be placed in other regions
  • Willingness to work across the rest of Africa
  • Valid driver’s licence

  • National Diploma Civil
