Enko Education is an investor and operator focused on private education in Subsaharan Africa. We are building an Africa-wide network of primary and secondary schools offering excellent international education affordable to the middle class.

Our flagship model is to partner with existing reputable local schools and roll-out international programmes designed for students aspiring to study in the world’s best universities.

In September we will be established in five countries (Cameroon, Mozambique, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal and South Africa) and aim to roll out 50 schools in the next five years.

Mission :
Interns will contribute fully to all aspects of this growth. They will be exposed to a wide variety of challenges, in the field of marketing, quality insurance, finance, project management, business development and so on.
They will gain experience in company management, project management, emerging markets economies, startup world, private education.

Illustration of tasks:

Design financial models to assess support partnership decisions

Source suppliers to lower our equipment costs

Define and implement management processes of schools

Identify improvement in the overall management of schools

Enko Education’s objective is to build a network of 50 schools within Sub-Saharan Africa in the next 5 years.

Finance

The Finance team manages the reporting and planning of finance at group and school level. It implements financial strategy and reporting tools, working very closely with all schools.

Finance department is also in charge of fundraising and tax management.

Profile:

More than a specific profile, we look for a fit. We are a startup: constant enthusiasm, can-do attitude, ability to adapt to the daily unexpected events are absolutely required.
We look for well-rounded students, able to lead and run projects from start to end. Bilingual French – English or Portuguese / English required.

Start date and duration

A 6-month duration is minimum. Full-time jobs may be offered to the most successful interns.

Start date can be flexible.
