The role:
To lead, supervise and coordinate the activities of our Technicians whilst not having direct line management responsibility for the whole team.  You will focus on design, commissioning and inspection and troubleshooting of highly complex systems whilst being the Primary ‘on site’ customer contact for technical installation and/or service issues being considered a ‘face’ of Johnson Controls at the customer site.  This role will need the successful candidate to act as on site project leader and provide technical coaching to others as needed in the team.

Role responsibilities:

•Under general supervision, installs, starts up and commissions systems in line with defined regulations, standards and processes.
•Understands and analyzes relevant technical documents such as electrical schemes, fluid schemes, piping diagrams, psychometric diagrams, etc.
• For Technicians working on Controls Systems: Ability to test and write modifications in multiple languages of systems software.
•Communicates with customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site. Meets regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems and reach full understanding of customer needs.
•Keeps customer informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues, recommends system
Enhancement/upgrade/replacement and promotes the sale of change orders and/or additional labor & material work (L&M).
•Advises and trains customer in system operations
•Ensures compliance with the Johnson Controls safety culture and adheres to all applicable safety standards, requirements and equipment including environmental and industry regulations, where required


Desired Skills and Experience

Essential qualifications/Industry experience:

•Trade qualification (e.g. BAS/BNS, HVAC, and Refrigeration)
• Complex product knowledge and advanced system knowledge
•More than 10 years’ experience would be advantageous
