To analyze business challenges and requirements through the application of various statistical analysis techniques.

Qualification

Relevant 3 year degree with a major in Mathematics / Statistics (i.e. B.Comm (Statistics), B. Informatics)
Relevant post-graduate degree with a major in Mathematics / Statistics (i.e. BSc Honours (Statistics) would be advantageous
Experience within a retail credit risk management environment would be advantageous.

Requirements

• Computer literacy (Intermediate MS Excel / Access)
• Attention to detail (accuracy)
• A degree of programming skill
• Ideal: SAS, SQL, Qlikview, Cognos
• Structured thinking and approach (process orientation)
• Able to perform under pressure and work towards strict deadlines
• Adaptable to change
• Proactive
• Client service orientation
• Willing and able to work extra hours, outside normal business hours as and when required
• A clear credit history and a clean criminal record are prerequisites
• Clear criminal and credit record

Competencies

• Knowledge of analytics
• Technical understanding and knowledge (different operating systems / databases / programming languages)
• Knowledge of the retail credit environment / industry would be advantageous
• Knowledge of table and database structures would be preferred
• General business acumen
• Communication skills (verbal and written) in English
• Numerical skills
• Analytical skills
