Kimberley Underground Mines JV is situated in the city of Kimberley in the Northern Cape. The mine consists of 3 conventional
slushier drift block cave mines.

Job Description: Reporting to the Mine Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for achieving set targets in a safe and cost
effective manner. Two positions are available – one for Development and the other for Block Cave production.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Ensure effective resource utilisation and optimisation
Drive production and maintenance
Interact with all mining disciplines
Ensure maintenance management system is in place
Develop and maintain a document management system to ensure efficient storage and access of information
Work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice and report deviations
Ensure adherence and compliance to Safety, Health and Environmental processes
Minimum Requirements:
Standard 10/Grade 12
Permanent Blasting Certificate (Scheduled Mines)
Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency
Valid driver’s license(Code EB/08)
Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office software and SACO
10 years’ experience in an underground environment
Other Skills / Competencies
Managerial/supervisory experience
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Diamond and Massive Mining (Block Cave) AND/OR Trackless development experience
2 years’ experience as a Mine Overseer will be an advantage
