Mechanical Engineer Plant Support at SASOL

Position Summary
Purpose of the job:
Provide Mechanical Engineering Plant Support, Engineering Solutions and Project Support to the Relevant Operations Departments.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and expertise required (Must)
-B.Eng (Mechanical)

Job specification
Specific experience required
-2-5 years as the Mechanical Engineer in
maintenance or projects within the Petro Chemical
environment.
-Knowledge on Static Pressure equipment and their
relation to the PER
-Knowledge on Health and Safety Standards
-Knowledge on Sasol Specifications
-Project implementation and problem solving
-Management of change

Required outputs: Functional
-Cost / risk evaluation of maintenance decisions
-Projects support and evaluation
-Business Case development and verification
-Risk based inspection decisions
-Improvement of Equipment MTBF through Asset Management principles

General
-Equipment monitoring and evaluation of asset health
-Technical engineering assistance during projects
-Budget control
-Acting in higher position
-Stand-by duties
-Assist to establish maintenance systems within
operations
